Faeldon detained to Pasay City Jail

Former Customs commissioner Nicanor Faeldon on Tuesday was transferred from his detention at the Senate building to Pasay City Jail following his "sordid conduct" at the blue ribbon committee hearing on the alleged corruption at the Bureau of Customs.
Faeldon was seen wearing his statement black shirt which said "Truth is Justice" when he alighted from a van.
The convoy with the van he rode in left the Senate premises at around 11:40 a.m. and arrived at Pasay City Jail at noon.

The commitment order to transfer was signed by Senate President Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III.
Faeldon, who was appointed as deputy administrator for operations of the Office of Civil Defense, appeared before the blue ribbon committee on Monday where he engaged in a heated exchange with Senator Richard Gordon.

During the Senate inquiry, he criticized Gordon, chair of the blue ribbon committee, saying that the senator was not out to get the truth.

Faeldon has been detained at the Senate since September last year after he was cited in contempt for his continued refusal to participate in the legislative inquiry.
